Maharashtra Police Band proves to be number one :
Pune 17 June : The All India Police Band Competition wins hearts of Pune.
One of the memorable function in the history witness by thousands of citizens & seniors police officers who might feel proud to witness this historic event.
It was expected that the chief guest Chief Minister Devendra Phadanvis who holds the Portfolio of Home dept might declare some good projects for the police reforms as the Maharashtra Police Band was declared overall winner & the Pipe Band Raised by the then Inspector General of Police Mr Sunil Ramanand, received the Best Band and also the best performance award, but without any declaration the CM concluded the function by releasing 4 Apps for the security of the citizens, the Home Minister Mr Devendra Phadanvis missed a good opportunity to speak on police reforms & their duties, though he elaborated the importance of Band.
It was much thrilling to listen the National Anthem from all the competitors music instruments on the opening day. Today when the band instruments started ringing for various hindi songs the spectators & even many senior IPS officers felt to dance, the music played had itself created a dancing atmosphere, each person present here realized that music plays a major role in humans life, as the CM in his speach mentioned the importance of Band & it’s history, without weapons & with the help of Band, Mission Independence from Azad Hind Sena was started by Netaji Subhashchandra Bose , the tunes played gives energetic power to everyone & it also results fruitful in all aspects.
The major efforts taken for the competition by Director General of Maharashtra Police Praveen Dixit was remembered by ADG Mr Gurubachansing from Intelligence Bureau, besides this ADG Sandip Bishnoi , Special Inspector General of police Sueshkumar Mekhla succeeded to give a Historic event to the city, this program have bloomed in the city’s crown.
The performance from 17 states Police Band & 7 paramilitary forces was spectacular & picturesque, the Sikkim Band of women’s participants also won the hearts & the award too.
Overall the State Reserve Police Force group 2 had given a opportunity to honor & witness a mega event.
The former IG, Commandants of SRPF were feeling proud to witness this event. Efforts of Commandant Sarang Awhad, Amol Tambe ended fruitfully, the managing committee member Rashmi Shukla & others also proved that Maharashtra Police will always remain on number one position in managing such mega events also.
