TRAGIC ACCIDENT : SR PI I S PATIL

Pune 26 July (UNI) : Today in the wee hours on Mumbai Pune express
highway a high speed Black Maruti Ciaz Car with six young collegians met
an tragic accident near Kamshet on reversible mode, resulting death of
all six students said Senior Police Inspector Mr I S Patil here this
morning.
While speaking with UNI, Police Inspector Patil said that the mishap
took place after the car moved out of Kamshet tunnel near Pavana Chowky
around 3.10 am all these six students identified as Aditya Dipak
Bandarkar, of 17 years Yash Ajay Shirali of 20, Abhishek Arun Roy of 21,
Akshay Rajaram Bhilare of 20, Jockin John Samuel of 19 and Umesh
Girish Patil of 24 all from Aishwrya Apartment Kothrood Pune, were
travelling on high speed with their car, Yash Shirali was driving the
car, and near Kamshet the car suddenly went reversible and dashed into a
divider and fallen in a 200 feet quarry , in which five died on the spot
and Umesh Patil who was admitted to Lokmanya hospital died during the
treatment. All the deceased belong to D Y Patil Engineering Collage.
Patil further added that the car in which the youths were travelling
was being driven rashly, and was over speeding, all The deceased are in
the age group of 21-23, it seems the youths were driving the car rashly
and overtaking in the wrong lane. The car initially dashed into the road
divider and later plunged into a quarry as the speed of the car was
uncontrollable, due to which it headed reversible, From the identity
cards, it has been found out that the students were engineering students
from D. Y Patil College and Navale College in Pune. we have alerted the
parents and college authorities. One of the victims was in critical and
was kept in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Lokmanya Hospital in Nigdi,
where he was also declared Dead by the doctors. All the dead bodies have
been sent for postmortem. An accidental case is being registered at the
