Pune 27 Dec (PCP) : Indian Embassy of Kuwait, helped the Pune based Rupee Bank, regarding a Indian citizen Mr Abhay Ramchandra Joshi , who is found to be loan defaulter said Special Recovery Officer Mr Lokhande here this afternoon.

SRO, Lokhande while speaking with PCP News further said that, since long time Abhay Joshi was missing, he had availed loans from Laxmi Road Branch, but from many years he had not paid single rupee, in the mean time we came to know that he is residing and working in Kuwait,  Immediately we tried to contact, but he was not responding, so we called the Indian Embassy, the officer from the Embassy asked us to send all the details of Joshi along with the Loans said the SRO.

The SRO also added that, after receiving the details the Indian Embassy immediately called Joshi and asked him to submit written clarification, Joshi had given all the details of his service and residence and submitted a written assurance regarding our loan repayment, this is the first ever incidence where a Co-Operative Bank had received help from our Embassy, we are trying rigorously to get our loans recovered from all the defaulters and we are also thankful to the Ministry of External Affairs for helping said Lokhande.   PCP/DJ  14 30
