Pune 20 Jan 17 (PCP NEWS) : ” Every citizen can be a part of Pune Police under the Pune Police Support Volunteer”,besides this we have today launched “M-Passport” app for fast processing of Passports said the DCP Deepak Sakore here this afternoon.
DCP Sakore while elaborating the concept to PCP News Correspondent said that, Police Commissioner Mrs Rashmi Shukla had taken the initiative to launch this scheme, in which each citizen gets opportunity to work with the force, the citizen have to go through the “Pune Police Website” where he can login for the field as per his choice, after filling all the information, the person will get message on his register mobile about his file, which will be received to the commissioner office, after the verification and scrutiny the person will be called for a formal interview, in which he will be allowed to work with the police as his choice, which he had mentioned in the online form said Sakore.
Police Commissioner Rashmi Shukla also added that there are many options for the candidate, he can work as he desires to work in Crime, Cyber Crime, Women Safety, Senior Citizen Safety, Narcotics, Communal Harmony, Various Awareness Campaigns and also in the most important field Traffic, I expect that all the youngsters can share their valuable experience by giving some time to the various investigating agencies, which will help the force to become more smart and efficient, since its a charity based so there will be no remuneration, but after six months of his tenure we will felicitate him in public and issue a certificate which will be useful for him in future. Today we also launched “M-Passport App”, which will save a lot of time of the applicant and his important data, citizens can download this app on their smart phones, said Shukla.
Joint Police Commissioner Mr Sunil Ramanand also added that, these selected volunteers can share their experience directly on the website of pune police, besides this the upcoming technology is a big challenge for the force, for this time is a very important factor, and due to shortage of manpower these candidates can help the officers to tackle the offences happened, as, day by day Cyber Crime is a big challenge in front of the police throughout the country. Government is trying to spread importance of cashless transactions, for this various awareness campaigns with the help of I T students we can reach the real culprits, which can save time and also complainant can get justice if the detection is done fast and it will increase the conviction rate said Ramanand.
Pankaj Ghode, who has developed this project on the idea of Mrs Rashmi Shukla said that, this is an big opportunity to all the Pune Citizens to be a part of Smart Policing, as we are proceeding towards “Smart City”, which is possible only when citizens will be a part of our force. PCP/DJ 14 30
