Pune 22 Mar 2017 : (PCP NEWS) : In a major detection of Drugs, the Crime Branch Anti Dacoity Unit headed by Senior Police Inspector Rajendra Kadam have established Rajasthan Connection from the three accused arrested with 5 kilo “Afim Drug” worth twelve lakh fifty thousand rupees said DCP Crime P R Patil here this evening.
DCP Patil while speaking with PCP News further said that, Constable Shailesh Jagtap and Parvez Jamadar were behind one accused who was suspected to be Drug Supplier, day before two more persons joined the person to whom Jagtap was following, he immediately informed the facts to the senior officers, where a trap was laid at Axcel Lodge in Rasta Peth. Today early in the wee hours police raided the lodge and the room where the three accused were staying, during the search police found five packets of some substance, immediately all the accused were brought to Crime Branch, during the interrogation the accused confessed about the five packets, which was of “Afim Drug”, on the directions of the seniors these packets were sent to Laboratory, where the substance was confirmed as “Afim Drug”, which is used by the Addicts for consuming, said Patil.
Acp Crime 1 Suresh Bhonsale also mentioned that all the three accused were identified as Rana Sonaram Patel of 23, Ruparam Baheram Patel of 25 and Sarvan Kevalram Patel of 24 years all from Village Javer, Tehsil Luni district Jodhpur, during the further interrogation one accused spoke about the “Afim Drug”, which the accused were trying to sale in Pune, though the police had not reached to the person to whom they were to sale, the “Afim Drug” was 5 kilo, valued for twelve lakh fifty thousand rupees. This detection have proved that the Drugs are supplied from Rajasthan by this racket, so we have informed the Rajasthan Police for getting more details of these accused said Bhonsale.
PI Kadam said that, we will find out more regarding if any previous drugs were sold by the accused in Pune or any parts of country, we have registered a offence under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS) and further investigation is going. PCP/DJ 18 30
